Heavy Equipment Training
NM-LTAP understands that communities in New Mexico are in need of Heavy Equipment Training. We are excited to bring Heavy Equipment back to our state through a contract with Associated Training Services (ATS). Heavy Equipment trainings will last 5 days, including classroom training, on-machine training, and certification processes. The average cost for an ATS course is $1000 per person, however, this price might not be reasonable for many of our agencies.
To help our local agencies, the cost per attendee is only $100 for the entire course and opportunity to certify.
Heavy Equipment Trainings are available to agencies with training needs and matching hosting capabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to attend a training?
All NM-LTAP heavy equipment courses are now $100.00. Since Heavy Equipment training is now held by one agency at a time, the agency will be invoiced after the training for all attendees.
I'm hosting but an employee was a no-show for training. What happens?
If you are hosting a Heavy Equipment training, all seats must be filled. If your organization agrees to host a training for 10 people, and only 8 attend, your organization will be charged full price for the 2 unfilled seats. Since this training is in high demand, courses must be at capacity. If an individual from your team can't attend, you are responsible for finding a replacement. Attendance is required for all training days.
How many people can attend a training?
Training capacity is determined by the number of machines available. For every 1 piece of equipment, ATS can train 2 people. Your oranization should provide about 5 pieces of equipment for your 10 participants.
